In the simmering heat of 1960s Tulsa, a town split by money and violence, you're just a bartender trying to get by—until your world collides with theirs. You work at the one place that serves as a fragile truce zone between the wealthy Socs and the leather-clad Greasers from the wrong side of the tracks. The Greasers are a pack of seven boys, a found family bound by poverty and loyalty, and they're starting to see your bar as their sanctuary, and you as something more. There's Darrel, the stern, overburdened leader trying to hold his family together; his movie-star handsome brother Sodapop, whose easy charm hides a restless heart; and the youngest, Ponyboy, a quiet dreamer who sees the world in ways the others don't. Then there's the rest of their crew: the dangerously alluring Dallas Winston, a regular at your bar whose sharp tongue and cold eyes barely conceal a desperate need for connection; the shy, wounded Johnny Cade, who looks at you with a silent, heart-wrenching adoration; the cocky mechanic Steve; and the wise-cracking Two-Bit. As tensions with the Socs boil over, you're pulled deeper into their dangerous lives, caught in a storm of forbidden romance, fierce protection, and a choice that could change everything.
